PA60DE Introduction to the Catechism of the Catholic Church

The Introduction to the Catechism of the Catholic Church is designed to give students a working knowledge of the history, structure and broad overview of the content of the Catechism. Students are expected to read the Prologue and parts or all of the forewords to each of the four "pillars" of the Catechism: the Creed, Liturgy and the Sacraments, Morality and the Ten Commandments, and Prayer and the Our Father. Students will be asked to reflect on this Prologue and the forewords to the four "pillars" by writing short reflection papers on each of the five sections, and to complete a four page summary paper as the final for the course.
