Liturgical preaching in the Roman Catholic tradition is introduced. Students are prepared to preach through the three components of an effective homily: 1) Theological Message; 2) Spiritual and Intellectual Preparation; and 3) Style of Presentation. The Church’s documents on preaching the homily including: Fulfilled in Your Hearing and Preaching the Mystery of Faith are incorporated to ensure that the student has all of the objective components necessary for effective preaching.
